Abstract
PURPOSE:To maintain room for the vertical movement of a suspension (vertical travel of a driving axle) to improve a wheel driving power by installing a flexible member between a vehicle frame and a support member fixed on the driving axle. CONSTITUTION:A flexible member 6 is connected between a pin 5 at the top end of a support member 27 which is connected to a driving axle 26 of a double tire 32 and a pin 7 supporting a vehicle frame 14. The movement of a system comprising the tire 32, a spring 29 and a torque rod 30 in the direction of the arrow U is restricted; the pin 5 is retained by the member 27 on a line on which the pin 2 and the pin 7 are connected; and therefore the pin 5 can not move in the direction of the arrow U. However, if the leaf spring 29 deflects because a tire has encountered a bump in the road, the system will move in the direction of the arrow V, thereby preventing tire slip likely to occur when the brakes are applied.
