Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect a progressing state of fragility of an actual machine member exactly and easily, by using the actual machine member in a hydrogen atmosphere, and after that, measuring a fragile state of an object to be tested, consisting of the same material. CONSTITUTION:In the inside of a pressure vessel 1 and a pipe 2, consisting of 2(1/4)Cr-1Mo steel, an object to be tested 3 of a rectangular parallelepiped consisting of the same material is provided by welding, and a hydrogen air current is made to pass through. Subsequently, at every prescribed time, the object to be tested 3 is cut by a cutter, its air bubble contenting rate is measured by an electronic microscope, and from this measured value and a master curve prepared in advance, a progressing state of fragility is detected.
