Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formulaI(A is a group shown by the formula II; Me is a metal selected from the group consisting of cobalt, zinc, copper, manganese, iron, etc., B-- is pharmaceutically acceptable anion).
EXAMPLE: [(α-Tocopheryl nicotinate)2 -Cu]Cl2 complex.
USE: A remedy for arteriosclerosis. Controlling powerfully lipid peroxide.
PROCESS: In the presence of a solvent, α-tocopheryl nicotinate is reacted with a metal salt, to give the desired compound shown by the formulaI. Copper acetate, copper chloride, copper sulfate, etc. may be cited as the metal salt, and residue of hydrochloric acid, hydrobromic acid, etc. as the B--. Since the compound shown by the formulaIhas a high melting point and is stable, the temperature condition in pharmaceutical preparation is mild, and complex operations are not required.
