Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled fine particle resin suitable for a manufacture of a cup noodle container etc. and having a unified particle diameter, by incorporating an ethylene resin with a styrene-modified ethylene resin, extruding it strand like from the die of an extruder and cutting. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. of an ethylene resin of a low density polyethylene, an ethylene-vinylacetate copolymer etc. (A) is incorporated with 2-30pts.wt. of a styrene-modified ethylene resin (B) which is obtained by polymerizing 30- 250pts.wt. of a styrene monomer in the presence of 100pts.wt. of an ethylene type resin. Then, the obtained product is supplied to an extruder, melted, kneaded and the melt is extruded strand like from a die having plural extruding orifices of 0.5-2mm. diameter honeycomb like or on its circular periphery and cooled in a water tank, then, by cutting with a rotating blade a fine particle ethylene resin of which the weight per a piece is 0.2-2mg is obtained.
