Abstract

PURPOSE: To carry out fermenting treatment of sludge in a composting stock material in a large scale by a method wherein, on the air diffusing plate on the tank bottom of a fermenting tank, a member having a height slighly higher than that of a pressure-tight sludge tank provided on said air diffusing plate is arranged in a plane figure line drawing like manner.
CONSTITUTION: In a running throw-in apparatus 3, a composting stock material fallen from the end of a fixed conveyor 12 to which said composting material is sent is fallen onto a conveyor 13. This conveyor 13 is alternately operated to either one of directions shown by a dowble arrow 14 and the composting stock material is fallen toward a rotary paddle 15 throwing said stock material into a fermenting chamber 1 in a scattered condition from the end part thereof and scattered onto the floor of the fermenting chamber 1. Because these apparatuses are placed on a truck 16 and siad truck 16 is peciprocated to directions shown by a double arrow 17, by combining the moving directions of the conveyor 13 and the operation of the rotary paddle 15, the composting stock material is scattered uniformly in a width direction on the floor of the fermenting chamber 1 as well as widely in a depth direction thereof.
