Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate dust accumulation and to improve mechanical strength and discharge charactieristics by forming the discharge electrode of an electic dust collecting apparatus for exhaust gas purification of various kinds of plants from a flat bar having saw tooth like sharp protrusions having the upside angle of repose integrally provided to both sides thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A flat bar 10 having protruded parts 11 parallelly provided to both sides thereof and integrally formed thereto is a discharge electrode. The protruded parts 11 are parallelly provided, for example, at a pitch of about 20W 80mm and the protruded parts 11 are arranged in such manner that, between protruded parts 11 of one side, the protruded part 11 of the other side is positioned. The protruded part 11 forms a saw tooth like shape having angle of repose θ to the longitudinal direction of the flat bar 10 as well as the sharpened end part 11A thereof has a sharp anle by a notch 12 formed to the side of the protruded part 11. Because this protruded parts 11 are integrated, they can be formed by press processing. Because the sharpened end part of the protruded part 11, that is, the starting point part of corona discharge can be made extremely sharp, excellent discharge caharacteristics are obtained.
