Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently produce a rotating motion with a piezoelectric unit by providing first to third couplers which produce rotating moments to a movable unit while bending upon receiption of a dimensional distortion of the unit. CONSTITUTION:When a voltage is applied to a piezoelectric unit 3, the unit 3 is elongated, and a dimensional distortion produced by the elongation of the unit 3 is transmitted to a movable unit 21 substantially along the planar surface of the first coupler 41. Since one end of the unt 21 is supported to the second mounting surface of a mount 11 via the third coupler 61 having an elasticity, a rotary moment is produced around an axial parallel to the planar surface of the first coupler 41 by the distortion transmitted to the unit 21. Since an angular displacement is produced at the unit 21 by this moment and the first to third couplers 41, 51, 61 are thereby bent, the bending stress produced at the unit 3 can be reduced.
