Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the density of a diaphragm and to extend the reproducing frequency band, by forming a diaphragm mixing porous acryl fiber with wooden pulp. CONSTITUTION:A diaphragm is formed by mixing a natural fiber or synthetic fiber to wooden pulp and beating then machining the mixture. As the mixed fiber, 5-40% of porous acryl fiber is conbined. This fiber is porous and the cross section shows discontinuous lotus root and openings are provided on the surface of fiber. The density of the diaphragm is low and the thickness of the diaphragm can be increased if the weight of the oscillation system is constant. Thus, the stiffness of the top of the diaphragm is increased, high range resonance frequency is increased and the band of reproduction can be extended.
