Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an easily moldable and highly efficient organic filter medium having improved filtering characteristic and a specific porosity by using a pulp of filrous fibrin having a specific diameter range and a partially branched structure as a filter medium.
CONSTITUTION: As an organic filter medium, a paper material having an irregular uneven sectional area, made of pulp connected by fibrous fibrin with a partially branched structure; that is, having an average fibrin diameter of 0.05W5μm and an average porosity of 0.9W0.98, is used. The organic filter medium can be easily manufactured and also easily molded and is excellent in filter characteristic for superfine or fine dust particles, etc.
