A video pulse signal Vp' amplified by a signal amplifying circuit 13 is converted to a digital signal Dp by an A/D converter 14. When the signal Dp is inputted from the converter 14 to an I/O20, the controlling part 15 discriminates the original type on a basis of the relation between the counted value of detection data and the quantity of received light in accordance with a program stored in a ROM17 and outputs a digital signal Es indicating the original type to a display circuit 23 from the I/O21 to display it on a display equipment.
