Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a screw mechanism which can be simplified in structure to obtain high transmission efficiency and high accuracy and prevent backlash by molding a nut by using a male screw as a core with plastics, low-fusion alloy, or plastics containing metallic powder. CONSTITUTION:A metal mold is divided into two parts with a cylindrical male screw 1 interposed therebetween as a core 1. A teflon sheet 3 is interposed between the molds and secured. Plastics, low-fusion alloy or plastics containing metallic powder is poured from a pouring hole 4a mounted on the metal mold 2 to form a nut. Since a female screw nut to be engaged with the male screw 1 is thus molded, there is no looseness between the screws, whereby a screw mechanism is provided without backlash, which is high in transmission efficiency and high in accuracy as a driving mechanism.
