Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce in size of a vibration preventive device by providing a friction board equipment of said preventive device, which restrains abrupt displacement at an earthquake and the like due to inertial resistance to rotation, with a means reacting to vibration. CONSTITUTION:A vibration preventive device is provided with a vibration reacting means consisting of a bolt screw 3 equipped with a weight W and a bolt nut 4 screwable on said screw 3, and a catch 1a of a casing 1 for said preventive device is connected to a structure while a catch 2a of a coupling rod 2 is connected to piping and the like. In case sharp vibrations break out due to an earthquake or the like, though the coupling rod 2 is about to go into and out from the casing 1, rotation of the ball screw 3 is restrained due to inertial resistance of weight W, resulting in delay of movement of the ball nut 4 from entrance and exit motion of the coupling rod 2. Then, the coupling rod 2 compresses a friction board 5 between the rod 2 and a contact piece 4b against a spring 5a to press a side edge of the friction board 5 to the interior of the casing 1 and the coupling rod 2 is restrained from going in and out.
