Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a rigid polyurethane foam having an extremely low thermal conductivity, less friability and excellent low-temperature dimensional stability, by using a one-shot process comprising the use of a combination of a novel polyol component and a novel foam stabilizer.
CONSTITUTION: The titled substance is obtained by using, as a polyol component, a mixture comprising (A) 14W18wt% adipic acid-based polyester, 9W5wt% phthalic anhydride-based polyester, (B) 60W65wt% tetrafunctional or higher functional aromatic polyether (e.g., tolylenediamine-based polyether) and (C) 17W22wt% bifunctional or higher functional polyether having a viscosity lower than those of polyesters A and B, (e.g., pentaerythritol-based polyether), employing a compound represented by the formula, wherein n is 2W3, m/n is 5/1 and x/y is 3/1, as a foam stabilizer, and employing other components such as a catalyst, which are used conventionally. Here, the average OH value of the polyol mixture is preferred to be 400W500.
