Abstract
PURPOSE: To carry out the simultaneous pulverization and dissolution of a polymer in the preparation of the titled dispersion comprising the dispersion and stabilization of a powdery water-absorbing polymer in a solution of solid organic binder, by mixing the water-absorbing polymer, the binder and the organic solvent in one apparatus for the preparation of coating.
CONSTITUTION: The objective dispersion is obtained by charging powdery or granular water-absorbing polymer (e.g. partially crosslinked polyoxyethylene), a solid organic binder (a solid resin soluble in an organic solvent, e.g. polyamide resin) and an organic solvent in an apparatus for preparation of coating (e.g. ball mill), if necessary adding other additives (e.g. dispersion assistant, preservative, etc.) to the mixture, and pulverizing the polymer preferably to a particle diameter of ≤50μ.
EFFECT: The resultant dispersion has high stability.
