PURPOSE:To make it possible to carry out the work of transferring and disposing stacked papers in one group at once, by providing a compressed air blowing port in the central part between opposite sides of a square sheet and as well providing a device for contracting the distance between the clamp positions of clamping devices after papers are clamped. CONSTITUTION:Left and right clamping devices 22A, 22B clamp both left and right end parts of projected side of the upper stratum part of stacked papers pushed out while paper receiving arms 26A, 26B rotate, and thereafter, a feed screw 21 is slightly rotated for shortening the distance between the left and right clamping positions so that the central parts of papers are bent. At the same time, air is blown into between sheets in the upper stratum part for loosening the papers. When an elevating bed 9 is raised while continuing the blowing, the upper stratum part of papers is lifted by second partition plates 29A, 29B, paper receiving arms 26A, 26B and paper clamping devices 22A, 22B. Then, a tower on a reciprocating bed 8, as a whole, is moved to the right, and the clamping devices 22A, 22B are unfastened for dropping papers onto a table.
