Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a rotary feeder for feeding massive material where the outer end surface of a blade of a rotor is the same taper surface as the inner surface of a sliding casing, and the rotor can move axially, which can safely supply the material even if there is a big difference in pressure between a supply port and an outlet. CONSTITUTION:The outer surface of a blade of a rotor 11 and the inner surface of a casing 15 slidably contacting the blade are tapered at the same angle, and the rotor 11 is adapted to slide axially. Raw coal is poured from an injection port 18 and supplied to a reaction bath from an outlet 19. At this time, fluid is supplied 23a, 23b to fluid pressure cylinders 22a, 22b, which causes the rotor 11 to slide in the casing 15. In this case, the slidable contact surfaces are sealed up by O-rings 20, 24. Thus, the rotor 11 is moved from side to side and adjusted to ensure rotation and airtightness, and even if there is a big difference in pressure between a supply port and an outlet, the raw coal is safely transferred without environmental pollution.
