CONSTITUTION:The number of driving pulses PH for recording head scanning generated within the time corresponding to the delay time of dotting operation is beforehand stored as a correction value in a storage circuit RAM. In the stage of comparing the count value of the pulses PH and input data, the count value or input data is increased or decreased in accordance with said correction value, whereby the generation of the dot pulses PW is expedited by as much as the delay time and the actual dotting position is corrected so as to correspond correctly to the magnitude of the input signal.
