A current density is high under the electrodes 5 to which a voltage is applied and the part of the ink sheet 1 directly under the electrode is molten by Joule heat and is transferred to a recording sheet 1. In this case, a current from the electrode 5 is flowed toward the electrode 7, but tends to leak to the stylus electrodes to which no voltage is applied. However, since diodes 9 are provided between the electrodes 5 and the switch 81, reverse current can be prevented.
