PURPOSE:To make a proximity fuse operate correctly corresponding to the effective reflection area of a target plane, by setting a threshold value according to the size of the target plane and thereby adjusting an operation signal level beforehand. CONSTITUTION:A reception signal according to the size of a target, which is given to AGC from a distance tracking device 11 when the target is tracked by a radar on the ground, is given to a threshold value counting circuit 12. A threshold value according to the size of the target, obtained from this circuit, is set, prior to flying of a missile, in the detector 13 of the proximity fuse of the missile, which measures a required distance to the target by the transmission and reception of an electric wave, and an operation signal level of the proximity fuse is adjusted beforehand. Accordingly, the proximity fuse is made capable of operating correctly corresponding to the effective reflection area even when a target plane is small.
