CONSTITUTION:With the positional data in the X and Y directions of the picture formed by the binary coded picture signal DV as addresses, the first and second memories 5 and 6 are sequentially retrieved. Only the retrieved values corresponding to the picture elements in the binary coded picture are sequentially added 9 and 11, and SIGMAX<2>i and SIGMAY<2>i are obtained.
