Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the parking capacity by making the inner-circumferential face of a brake drum for a parking drum brake to be pear like. CONSTITUTION:A disc rotor 8 constructing a conventional disc brake is formed integrally in the direction perpendicular with the axis of the wheel 4 on the outer-circumference near to th open side of a brake drum 2, and when a pair of friction pads 10 are pressed against the pressing mechanism of the calliper of the plate face at both sides of said rotating disc rotor 8, the car is speed controlled or stopped. When parking the car, a pair of shoes 18 are pressed against the inner-circumferential face 22 of the brake drum 2 under the static state through the parking lever action thus to block the rotation of the wheel and to maintain the static state of the car. Since the inner-circumferential face 22 of said drum is made into pear-like through the shot blast method, the high parking performance is achieved.
