Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable an accurate vibration measurement to be effected even in a high-temperature atmosphere, by arranging a gap detector and a slide detector near a vibration detector in a driving apparatus unit, and controlling the gap of the vibration detector so as to be a proper dimension according to the detection signals from these detectors. CONSTITUTION:The outside of the outer wall 1 of a casing incorporating a turbine rotor 16 is coated with a lagging material 2, and a traverse apparatus 5 is mounted outside of it. To the end of a rod 7 incorporated in the traverse apparatus 5, a vibration detector 13, a gap detector 14 and a slide detector 15 are attached with a minute gap from the outer circumference of the turbine rotor 16. The detection signals from these detectors are sent to a controller 31 respectively. The vibration detector 13 perform an accurate vibration measurement while maintaining a proper gap based on the gap delta which is controlled by the gap detector 14.
