Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the stable magnetic recording performance by having a desired bend form for a gimbal part which is put into the back groove part of a core slider and accordingly preventing a defect which is caused in the assembling process. CONSTITUTION:A gimbal pawl 27 is bent at a position near its root with an angle theta (theta: about 30 deg.). This pawl 27 is put into a back groove part 26 of a core slider and calked by a tool. Thus the pawl 27 is formed symmetrical by to each other centering on the part 26. Accordingly a gimbal 18 is set in parallel to the lower face of a core slider 14, and as a result the desired magnetic recording performance is obtained for a magnetic head 9. Furthermore the force acting on the direction where the tip of the pawl 27 opens left and right the side face of the part 26 is reduced compared with the conventional force. Thus the deterioration of the magnetic recording performance owing to the deformation of the slider 14 can be avoided for the magnetic head 6. At the same time, the breakage of the slider 14 is also prevented.
