Abstract

PURPOSE:To reproduce an optional channel by providing reproducing heads corresponding to respective tracks on a tape, and then selecting a signal of a desired track through switching circuits. CONSTITUTION:Signals recorded on tracks 1-8 on a tape 9 are detected by reproducing heads 11-18 in a head case 10 and then supplied through output terminals 19-26 to preamplifiers 30-37, whose amplification outputs are divided into a group of the 1st-4th channels and a group of the 5th-8th channels before being supplied to switching circuits 38 and 39. In accordance with a signal transmitted from a controller 40 on the basis of the operation of a switch 41, the switching circuits 38 and 39 select the signals, channel by channel, and the selected signals are supplied through amplifiers 42 and 43 to speakers 44 and 45, thus performing two-channel signal reproduction.
