Abstract

PURPOSE:To make an automatic analysis of catechol amine quickly in high sensitivity and high accuracy without pretreatment of a sample, by using a constant voltage electric field measuring cell bringing about an electrode reaction of catecholamine reversibly. CONSTITUTION:Flow path switching valves 8, 15, 16 and 21 are switched to a position B after an ion exchange water 33, a pH regulation liquid 34 and a moving phase 35 are absorbed in mircosyringes 7, 13 and 14 and a sample of urine is sampled in a microsyringe 4 and is poured into a sample loop. Further, the conditioning of an alumina column 22 and the adsorption concentration to the column 22 of catechol amine in the sample, are carried out by operating microfeeders 6, 11 and 12 to a positive direction. Hereafter, the valve 21 is switched to a position C and the desorption of catechol amine from the column 22 and the separation by a microseparation column 23, are carried out. Then, separated catechol amine is introduced into a two-electrode thin-layer electrolytic cell 24 and each catechol amine is detected and is determined selectively.
