Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable casting wherein greensand is used, by fixing four flasks to a rotary disk on the same periphery at equal intervals, by setting a greensand feeding, a molding, a pouring, and a mold balance station successively corresponding to those flasks, and by circulating through those four stations.
CONSTITUTION: Greensand is introduced in a flask 8 placed in a greensand station A. A rotary disc 7 is rotated, the flask 8 is placed in a molding station B, air cylinder 9 is worked, a piston rod is dropped through a beam 10 to push down into greensand which filled a pattern 11. The pattern 11 is drawn out with the air cylinder 9 to prepare a mold. Then the flask 8 with the prepared mold is rotated by 90° and is placed in a casting station C to introduce the ductile molten metal. The filled flask 8 is rotated by 90° and is placed in a mold-balance station D. The air cylinder 9 is worked and a pushing-out member 13 is dropped down. The mold is collapsed and the round bar for examination is removed.
