Abstract
PURPOSE:To remove magnetic particles contained in a fuel and improve the combustion in an internal-combustion engine by a method wherein a magnetic filter incorporating a metallic net consisting of small-diameter magnetic wires in a magnetic field of a permanent magnet is provided in a passage for feeding an oil from a fuel tank to an air-fuel mixer. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder 2 is fitted to an inside circumferential surface part of an annular permanent magnet 1, and a pair of yokes 3a, 3b in the form of disks provided with projected parts are fitted in the cylinder 2 at positions above and below the magnet 1, forming a chamber 4 in the cylinder 2. Passages 5a, 5b are drilled through the yokes 3a, 3b respectively and are communicated to the chamber 4, in which the metallic net 6 consisting of small-diameter magnetic wires is fitted. Accordingly, by causing a fuel to flow into the circuit extending from the passage 5a to the passage 5b through the chamber 4, metallic particles of ferromagnetic materials such as Fe, Ni, Co or the like contained in the fuel are removed by attracting, the combustion in the engine can be improved and clarification of the combustion gas is contrived.
