Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent an outflow of fuel without sacrificing an essential function of a breather hole, by choking a communication hole with a ventilation member of felt or the like. CONSTITUTION:If a car body is tilted, fuel flows into a chamber 21 and tends to flow out to the side of a chamber 11 from a communication hole 35. However, a ventilating member 39 of the communication hole 35, having permeability for gas but preventing circulation of liquid, can prevent much fuel from flowing out to the side of the chamber 11. While the fuel flows not only to the chamber 21 but into an air chamber 24 through the communication passage 35 opened to a filler port 3. The air chamber 24 is communicated to an air chamber 26, connected to a chamber 18, through narrow conduction passage 28, 28, then much fuel never flows into the chamber 18, further even if fuel flows into the chamber 18, an outflow of fuel to the outside of a tank 1 can be prevented because a breather hole 30 is closed by a valve unit 31.
