Abstract

Should the tank be overfilled, oil will rise up a vent pipe, into the airflow oil stop valve, and cause a ball component to rise, forming a seal with a valve seat and thus prevent any oil spillage. The inner tubular housing suspends the valve ball in a shielded pocket to prevent the ball from being lifted by any air pressure within the vent pipe system and therefore allows air to pass through the valve freely in both directions. <IMAGE>
