Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a centrifugal casting machine which can maintain lateral weight balance at the center of a revolving shaft at all times during the use of molds of different sizes by performing mounting of the molds and the movement of weights for balancing simultaneously, and locating the weights for balancing adequately upon completion of mounting of the molds. CONSTITUTION:A mold 31 is mounted, and after a crucible is loaded into a crucible mounting hole 35 of a crucible receiving body 36, a revolving shaft 1 is rotated. When the body 36, the mold 31, etc. are rotated horizontally, the top surface plate 3 of a frame body 2 is supported to the shaft 1. At the same time, supporting blocks 32 and weights 21 for balancing provided on both sides of the body 2 are maintained at the same vertical height by the front and rear side plates 17, 18 of the body 2 and the through-shaft 40 of the shaft 1, so that the rotation in a horizontal direction is smoothly given. By ths rotation, the molten metal in the crucible is cast into the mold 31 through a communicating groove 41 by centrifugal forces. During this time, the energizing direction of the body 36 by the springs interposed between the shafts 6, 6' and a pressing plate 37 and the centrifugal force acting direction coincide and therefore the mold 31 is grasped surely between the blocks 32 and the body 36 by the centrifugal forces during rotation and further this grasping is made much strong by the energizing force of the springs.
