Abstract
PURPOSE:To promptly and high accurately detect a stratified phenomenon in a storage tank, by providing an external supervisory device of sight glass, monitor camera, liquid level meter, etc. to the top part in the storage tank and observing a state of liquid level movement in an upper surface of storage liquid through said external supervisory device. CONSTITUTION:Storage liquid in a tank 1 decreases, when new liquid is supplied from a liquid filler pipe 2, the storage liquid is separated into two layers 10, 11 and stratified. In this case, the liquid is sucked by a pump 4 and jetted from a nozzle 7 to collide with a boundary surface 12 between an upper layer liquid 10 and lower layer liquid 11. However, it is not easy for the jet to break through this boundary surface 12 reaching the upper surface of liquid, and the upper surface of liquid causes very little wave or rocking motion. And if a state of this liquid surface is observed by a television receiver 9 through a video camera 8, stratification can be detected, and required countermeasures and treatment after the stratification can be promptyly performed at an initial stage of the stratification.
