Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve productivity of electric process while expanding its adaptability by selectively using at least two kinds of processing liquid according to processing requirements in a machining apparatus which applies voltage across an electrode and workpiece in a processing liquid tank. CONSTITUTION:In a rough processing at an early stage, is operated a processing liquid supply unit 14a for a processing liquid tank 12a storing first processing liquid to supply the first processing liquid to a processing tank 10 through a processing liquid supply path 18a until the tank 10 is filled with said liquid for rough processing. After the completion of the rough processing, a switch valve 22a is opened to return the first processing liquid to the processing liquid tank 12a from the processing tank 10 through a return path 20a for the next time processing. Next, in the finish processing is operated a processing liquid supply unit 14b for a processing liquid tank 12b storing second processing liquid to supply the second processing liquid to the processing tank 10 through the supply path 18 for finish processing until the tank 10 is filled with the second processing liquid. After the completion of the finish processing, the switch valve 22b is opened to return the second processing liquid to the second processing liquid tank 12b from the processing tank 10 through a processing liquid returning path 20b.
