Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the flashover withstand amount of a commutator of a DC motor by forming obliquely the surface of a main pole in a widthwise direction and forming obliquely the surface of a pole to the pole pieces at both sides in an L shape, thereby equalizing the magnetic flux density. CONSTITUTION:The surface A1 of a main pole 1 is inclined with respect to the rotating direction of a rotor, and the surfaces A2, A3 of the parts to pole pieces 12a at both sides of the pole 1 are formed obliquely in an L shape. In this manner, since the magnetic flux density is equalized voltages, between commutator segments can be equalized at a low level, and the flashover withstand amount of the commutator can be largely enhanced.
