Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the workability of mounting a wedge for a stator slot of a rotary electric machine by bonding a resin wedge mixed with magnetic powder and a resin wedge mixed with a foaming material, and mounting the wedge in the hole of a slot, thereby preventing the foaming and expanding of the wedge toward the bore side of a core. CONSTITUTION:A resin wedge 12A mixed with soft magnetic powder and a resin wedge 12B mixed with a foaming material added with soft magnetic powder are bonded, and a magnetic powder resin wedge 12 is produced. This wedge 12 is mounted in the hole of the slot 2 of a core so that the side of the wedge 12A which is not foamed is disposed a the bore side of the core. Subsequently, the wedge is heated to foam and expand the wedge 12B, and is secured to the hole of the slot. In this manner, since the foamed part is not exposed at the bore side of the core, the steps of forming a core metal or cutting can be eliminated.
