Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve a heat exchanging efficiency by a method wherein a minute gap as the flow path of combustion gas is formed between both of cylinders through a multitude of protuberances in a device in which the heat exchanger consisting of both of an inner and an outer cylinders is heated by the combustion gas of a burner to effect a room heating or supplying of hot water. CONSTITUTION:The outer cylinder 1 forming a combustion chamber 3 is formed into a cylinder having a bottom therefor and the burner 7 is arranged at the side of th open end thereof. A multitude of circular or ellipsoidal protuberances 2 are formed on the peripheral surface of the outer cylinder 1 so as to be protruded to the side of the combustion chamber 3 while a combustion gas discharging port 8 is attached to the upper part of the outer cylinder 1. The inner cylinder 4 having such an outer diameter that it is contacting closely to the multiple protuberances 2 of the outer cylinder 1 is fitted into the inside of the outer cylinder 1 while the end part of the burner 7 side is expanded to contact it to the inner surface of the outer cylinder 1 closely. According to this method, the combustion gas path 6 is formed between the outer and the inner cylinders 4, 1 and the heat of the combustion gas generated by the burner 7 is emitted to a heat exchanging medium 9 such as water or the like to heat it on the way of discharging from the discharging port 8 through the combustion gas flow path 6.
