CONSTITUTION:When a centripetal runner 2 is rotated in the front stage, gas is sucked in from a passage 6. It is gradually and axially accelerated by an impeller 2a, and reaches near to the center of a centrifugal runner 3. Then, the gas current is accelerated by the rotation of the runner 3, and conducted into a passage 10. After being dashed to the circumference of a centripetal runner 2' in the next stage and converted into pressure energy, it is conducted through a passage 11, accelerated again by a centrifugal runner 3' in the succeeding stage, and finally taken out to the outside of a compressor via a diffuser 7 and a scroll 13. This construction permits to prevent turbulence and promote the efficiency of the compressor.
