Abstract

PURPOSE:To cool the rotor effectively and prevent deformation of a rotor due to secure change beforehand, by providing in the lower course from 2nd step for reheating a route fin which introduces steam from the main stream side into a space between a blade wheel and a nozzle diaphragm. CONSTITUTION:Cooling steam 10 which passing through a balance hole 8a of the initial step for reheating further passes through the main stream side and a labyrinth packing 20b. Cooling steam cools a blade wheel surface 40, however, its temperature rises higher than that of steam of the main stream due to a rolling friction. Therefore, steam is introduced from the main stream side through a gap of a route fin 21. Since the cooling steam may thus be prevented from rising in temperature due to the rolling friction, the rotor may be cooled effectively and its deformation due to secular change can be prevented.
