CONSTITUTION:A hot water supply pipe 4 of a tank 1 having a heater 2 is provided with a differential pressure apparatus 5 and a manual cock 6, and a bypass pipe 7 that bypasses them is provided with a solenoid valve 8. When the cock 6 is opened to supply hot water, the differential pressure apparatus 5 closes switches 9, 9' to allow an electric current to pass through the heater 2 and at the same time to allow an electric current to pass through a coil 11 so as to open the solenoid valve 8. When the water temperature in the tank 1 reaches a prescribed value, it is detected by a thermistor 14 to close a relay contact 13 of a temperature controlling circuit 12. When the cock 6 is closed to stop the hot water supply, the differential pressure apparatus 5 opens the switches 9, 9' to cut the electrical current to the heater, but the coil 11 is made through the relay contact 13, and when the water temperature falls to a prescribed temperature or below, the relay contact 13 is opened to close the solenoid valve 8.
