Abstract
PURPOSE:To join a composite material efficiently to other metallic member by welding by melting the resin layer of the prescribed part in the composite member interposed with the resin layer between metallic plates locally and conducting electricity between both electrodes under pressurizing. CONSTITUTION:An annular part 3a of a high frequency work coil 3 is disposed in the welding part of a composite material 1 adhered and laminated with a resin layer 1c between two sheets of metallic plates 1a and 1b, in proximity to the plate 1a side, and while cooling water is flowed in an internal passage 4, electricity is conducted. The resin layer 1c near the weld zone is heated and melted locally by this. When electricity is conducted to electrodes 5 on both sides while the material 1 and the member 2 are grasped and heated by said electrodes 5, the plates 1a, 1b of the material 1 contact each other, by which electricity is conducted to these and the material 1 and the member 2 are spot- welded and joined simultaneously.
