Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve joining strength of a weld zone by melting resin of a laminated plate in advance by a charged capacitor power source to form nuggets and then, changing over the power source to a singlephase AC power source to weld the laminated plate to a regular steel plate. CONSTITUTION:The laminated plate 1 is superposed on the regular steel plate 2 and pressed and held between a couple of electrodes 3a and 4a. The capacitor power source, and the single-phase AC power source 8 are provided for the power source together with changeover switches 6 and 7 on the primary side of a power source transformer 5. When the switches 6 and 7 are connected to the charged condenser power source 9 in advance and a high density current is carried between the electrodes 3a and 4a in a short time, a resin plate 1b of the laminated plate a is molten and the nugget 10 is formed between epidermal metals 1a and 1c. Next, when the power source is changed over to the single-phase AC power source A and electrification is executed, the nugget 11 is formed between the laminated plate 1 and the steel plate 2. By this method, the joining strength of the weld zone is improved.
