Abstract
PURPOSE: To treat sewage such as municipal sewage with good efficiency by bringing the sewage into contact with sludge incorporated with 1 of ≥2 kinds of specific bacteria at least at 25% by maintaining pollution load at specific values.
CONSTITUTION: Sewage is brought into contact with the sludge incorporated with 1 or ≥2 kinds of the bacteria selected from the group consisting of acinetobacter genus, enterobacter genus, aeromonas genus, alcaligenes genus, and flavobacterium genus at least at 25% ratio while pollution load is maintained at ≤0.15kg BOD30/kgMLSS.day. The quality of the water is improved by this while the generation of excess sludge is suppressed. In additions, the sewage is treated effeciently without entailing a substantial decrease in pH. It is preferable to maintain the concn. of the activated sludge suspended solids (MLSS) at the sewage treatment at 6,000W12,000ppm.
