Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable sending of rectified wind accurately to a charged object by utilizing ionic wind and thereby preventing occurence of turbulent flow in fan blasting.
CONSTITUTION: When a plug 56 is connected to a 100V plug socket and the switch 54 is made to ON-state after closing the cover plate of a casing completely, a converter 60 outputs d.c. high voltage from a power source 24 terminal and outputs a.c. high voltage from a current 42 terminal. Consequently, plus high voltage is applied to an acicular ionizing conductor 16 and minus zero voltage is applied to a wind generating electrode. Further, an electric field is generated at the tip of the acicular conductor 16 and a wide extent on the front end face of the electrode 28, and positive corona discharge is generated. A large quantity of ions moves to the electrode 28 by corona discharge, and the air current flows out to outside from a window through the electrode 28, reticular electrode 44 and inside of the casing. At this time, suspended particles are collected by the electrode 28, and another electric field is formed between electrodes 16, 44 and the ions are sent in the direction of the window by rectified wind due to ionic wind phenomenon.
