Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain high-precision products at low cost by fixing and surfaces of input optical fibers and output optical fibers on the same plane, and sliding a movable part where channel-curved optical fibers are fixed. CONSTITUTION:In the end surface of a sectionally bent base 30, lead-out openings for input and output optical fibers 20-23 are formed, and on the base 30, an input and output optical fiber fixing member 29 is connected. The fiber fixing member 33 of a movable base plate 28 is provided with curved optical fibers 24-27, and end surfaces of the fibers are pressed in contact with fiber and surfaces of the fixing member 29, and then slid in directions A and B. In accordance with the position of the movable base plate 28, light is generated when passing through fibers 20, 25 and 22, and 21, 27 and 23, and 20, 24 and 23, and 21, 26 and 22. Thus, high-precision optical switching is achieved by the simple structure.
