Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect the direction of the occurrence of crosstalk on a basis of the direction of oscillation of a pickup spot for detection of crosstalk, by oscillating minutely the pickup spot in a direction approximately orthogonal to the track at a period of about 30Hz. CONSTITUTION:Only the horizontal synchronizing signal period of a detection signal is gated by a gate circuit 3, and beat components to luminance signals of adjacent tracks included in the signal are extracted by a BPF and are subjected to envelope detection. This output B has the peak held at every horizontal period in a holding circuit 6. An output C of the circuit 6 is subjected to synchronous detection to detect a crosstalk quantity. Meanwhile, DC cut components of the peak holding output C and a tracking mirror driving signal (pickup spot oscillating signal) are multiplied in a synchronous detector 7 to detect the direction of the occurrence of crosstalk.
