Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the elastic force of a sample only and to measure the viscoelasticity accurately, by arranging the second stress meter having the same mass to that of a fully movable part of the sample side on the opposite side of an exiter in a vibration type viscoelasticity measuring system. CONSTITUTION:The one end of a sample 10 is fixed on a fixing wall 12 and the other end of it is fixed with a chuck 14. Further, fixed sample is connected to an exciter 20 through a vibration rod 16 and the first stress meter 18 and the second stress meter 22 having the same characteristics with the stress meter 18 is provided on its outside. The vibration mass of the rod 16, the chuck 14 and a movable part of the sample 10, is added to the stress meter 22. The sample is energized by the detector 24 and also, each stress is measured by the stress meters 18, 22. The modulus of elasticity having no mass error is found accurately by dividing the difference of an output of each stress meter by the reading of a displacement meter.
