Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of a fan by eliminating the outer tube at the delivery side of an impeller while arranging the motor support radially then fixing a static vane on said support and reducing the slewing component of the flow delivered from the impeller. CONSTITUTION:The suction side and the delivery side of an impeller 1 is separated by a mouth ring 2. A motor 5 for driving the vane is supported through a support 3 at the delivery side of the impeller 1 and a static vane 4 is fixed to the support 3. The arrow A shows the flow direction while the arrow B shows the rotary direction of the impeller 1. The flow from the impeller 1 will slew in the direction of the impeller 1 and the slew flow is reduced by the static vane 4 to increase the static pressure thus to improve the efficiency of the fan. Furthermore a drive motor 5 is located at the downstream of the impeller 1 while a static vane 4 is fixed to said support 3 resulting in the effect where the support of the static vane 4 is not required.
