CONSTITUTION:A light source device consists of a straight flash discharge tube 1, a bottom surface reflecting plate 2, a side surface reflecting plate 3 and a plane aperture part 4. The conditions of expressionsIand II are satisfied among the light diffusing coefficient alpha and the light reflection factor beta of the plate 2, the distance R between a glass plate 4 of the plane aperture part and the center of the tube 1, and the space P between the contiguous tubes 1, respectively.
