Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the structure and to reduce the cost of the titled optical connector, by forming the optical guide exposed part at the light emitting side into a noncircular form and forming the optical guide exposed part of the light receiving side into a circular form respectively. CONSTITUTION:A small-diameter rotor 2' is provided rotatably to the shaft center part of a large-diameter rotor 1' via ball bearings 3 and 3. The circular optical guide exposed part formed on the inner circumference surface of a large-diameter circular optical guide 121 is set opposite to the noncircular optical guide exposed part formed on an end surface of a linear optical guide 25. Furthermore the noncircular optical guide exposed part formed on the outer circumference surface of a small-diameter circular optical guide 221 is set opposite to the noncircular optical guide exposed part formed on an end surface of a linear optical guide 17. As a result, the light made incident through the end part of the guide 17 or 25 is radiated through the end surface via the optical guide parts of the guides 17 and 25, the noncircular optical guide exposed part formed on the end surface of the guides 17 and 25, the circular optical guide exposed part opposite to said nonlinear optical guide exposed part and the optical guide part of a linear optical guide 222 or 122 connected to the linear optical guide exposed part respectively although the rotating speed differs between the rotors 1' and 2'.
