1504792 Photo-electric tachometer POLYMOTOR ITALIANA SpA 13 Feb 1975 43363/77 Divided out of 1504791 Heading G1A A bearing assembly comprises a rolling-contact bearing having inner and outer races 1, 2 and rolling elements 4 in a cage 3 and a rotational speed transducer which includes a disc 25 bearing an angularly limited light-reflecting or transmitting spot which disc is combined with the bearing and with light-conducting fibre strands 22, 122, 222 in a constructional unit. In the embodiment of Fig.2 (not shown), the complete speed transducer including a light emitting diode (30) and photovoltaic cell (29) is in the constructional unit whereas in the embodiment of Fig.1 the light source 23 and photo-electric transducer 28 are outside the constructional unit.
