Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce noise due to a backlash by a method wherein discs having outer diameters equal to the pitch circle diameters are provided at the sides of a pair of gears and at least one of them is formed by an elastic body. CONSTITUTION:The driving gear 1a, provided on a driving shaft 3, and the following gear 2a, provided on a following shaft 4, are formed with annular cut and removed sections 5, 6 at the sides thereof while respective cut and removed sections 5, 6 are provided with discs 7, 8 consisting of annular elastic materials. These discs 7, 8 are made of synthetic rubber, synthetic resin having resistance to abrasion or the like and the outer diameter of the disc 7 is coincided with the pitch circle diameter PCD1 of the driving gear 1a substantially while the outer diameter of the disc 8 is coincided with the pitch circle diameter PCD2 of the following gear 2a substantially.
